USTA Manager Junior and Collegiate Competition
at USTA Collegiate Committee in United StatesCoordinate and manage all national varsity collegiate initiatives. Liaise with the Collegiate Committee on all matters relating to Varsity Collegiate Tennis. The position will also support junior competition initiatives.
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Administer programs and enforce policies, rules and regulations governing all collegiate events and activities held under the auspices of the USTA Collegiate Committee.
- Maintain the American collegiate database for recruiting purposes. Manage the content of the collegiate varsity section of the usta.com website.
- Assist with the organization of the US Open Junior Championships, Dunlop Orange Bowl and any other USTA or Junior ITF events managed by the Junior Competition Department.
- Maintain all budgets associated with varsity collegiate tennis.
- Work cooperatively with the Collegiate Committee and Youth Competition and Training Committee in recommending policy and administering those policies set forth by the committee.
- Liaise with designated tennis governing bodies (i.e. USOC, NCAA, ITA, NFHS) on issues and rules involving junior and collegiate tennis.
- Serve as a resource for players, parents, private coaches, national coaches, college coaches, Section Staff and the general public regarding junior and collegiate tennis.
QUALIFICATIONS/OTHER:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in collegiate tennis or related field
- College degree and tennis industry experience
- Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills are necessary, as well as strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word)
- Collegiate Tennis background required
- Position is considered exempt
